Notice that, as Paul appeals to the Thessalonian believers to "pray for us," he encourages them to consider how the Word had flourished in their midst.

Please reflect on the abundance the Lord has bestowed on the United States. We are blessed with the privilege (which sometimes we take for granted) of having many churches, many resources, and many men trained and equipped to proclaim the whole counsel of God.

Colombia is a place with desperate need of sound teaching. Pastors are not equipped to preach, and resources are scarce.  Pray with the compassion of Christ — Colombians are harassed and helpless, like sheep without shepherd. They need pastors trained and equipped to make true disciples — they need our help and compassion!
